Visit the ancient Hacienda (Estate) of Nogueras, which, was constructed in 1650, that beautiful hacienda has housed the magnificent Alejandro Rangel Hidalgo Museum since 1996, there you will see paintings and beautiful furniture, which were painted and design by Alejandro, you will also see a nice collection of pottery that was found inside of the shaft-tombs of that region, that pottery dates back five hundred years B.C. You will also have the chance to visit the house where the famous painter lived, and a beautiful ecological park that is next to the house, where you will see a wide variety of trees and plants.
Enjoy the thrill of the “Magic Zone” when you see how the water runs upwards by itself. Watch the one of the most active volcanoes of México from just 6 miles away of its crater, and get a complete explanation about what kind of volcano is it, and the hazards and benefits it represents for the locals. We will visit the La Maria lagoon to see a coffee plantation, and then we will be off to a coffee factory to learn how coffee goes from the plant to your cup. We will have a coffee tasting. Throughout the tour we will see several species of birds.
We will also visit a mask maker workshop in Suchitlán town, to admire the colorful and artistic hand-carved wooden masks. A few of those masks will be worn by some of the local men, to perform ancient dances that were inherited to them by their Nahua ancestors. Wrap up the day with a visit to Comala, one of the ‘Magic’ towns of México, winner of the prize to the best magic town in México, and enjoy a delicious meal (tapas) in one of its typical restaurants.
