Join us to learn, smell and taste the sweet bread, the coffee, the food (tapas)and the punch, which is an alcoholic drink elaborated locally with some fruits, water, sugar and alcohol, red wine or mezcal (a sort of tequila). Those are the most typical gastronomic goods created and elaborated by the locals of the white town of America, as it was named that town of Comala since 1962 when most of the facades of its houses were painted in white color, because of a suggestion of Alejandro Rangel Hidalgo, a famous painter born in the city of Colima in 1923. During the tour we will visit a bakery, a coffee factory, a punch factory and a restaurant in the center of the town to learn about the processes of all those products and the reason why they have become typical of Comala. If you want we could talk about Juan Rulfo a famous Mexican novel writer, author of Pedro Paramo novel, which was published in 1955, it tells a history that took place in a lonely and dusty town named Comala. Because of that novel, which, it has been translated to 26 different languages, people from several countries in the world have heard about Comala, and several of them have come down to know the weird town depicted in the novel.
